course description
The 14km course packs a healthy elevation punch by combining the Chatauqua and Wonderland loops, with runners reaching the top of the Pinnacle for epic views over Halls Gap, Lake Bellfield and the plains beyond. The first part of the course follows the Chatauqua Loop, with a water station at the 6km mark (approximately). Runners will then begin the steep ascent to the Pinnacle, climbing high above Halls Gap. Take a photo then continue on the Wonderland Loop, descending to the Wonderland Carpark via Silent Street and the Grand Canyon. There will be an aid station at Wonderland Carpark (approximately 11km). Descend to Halls Gap with your legs feeling every bit of the initial climb.

The GPT14k is registered with the International Trail Running Association (ITRA).
All runners who complete the course will gain qualifier points for their ITRA Performance Index.
The GPT14k is a UTMB® World Series Qualifier Event.
All runners who complete the course gain qualifier points for their UTMB® Index.
Runners with a valid UTMB® Index will have privileged access to register for a UTMB® World Series Event or UTMB® World Series Major and will use their UTMB® Index to validate their entry into the UTMB® World Series Finals lottery.
