FAQ

  • Yes, we have one price for the GPT Camp and it includes accommodation for everyone. The reason for this is that we have been able to book out Stoney Creek Lodge (formerly Camp Acacia) for a low price and in doing so we can offer accommodation to everyone for cheap. Think of accommodation as an inclusion more so than an add on.

  • Yes, you don’t have to stay at Stoney Creek Lodge (formerly Camp Acacia), but we certainly welcome everyone to. It will be a nice vibe having other runners around, sharing rooms, and breakfast. You will walk away from the weekend with a new best friend, or 7.

Having said this, if you are coming up with your family, or you are a solo operator, then of course, book someplace else in Halls Gap! Note that the price is $235 whether you stay at Stoney Creek Lodge (formerly Camp Acacia) or not, think of it as an inclusion, not an add on.

SingleTrack is heavily subsidising the host and production of the accomodation with pleasure.

  • We will do our best to pair people in rooms if they wish to stay with their friends.

  • We were stoked to be able to deliver two successful and free GPT Camps in 2023 and 2024. We know how thankful everyone was that it was free and it meant we had great turn outs.

From now on we will have to charge a small entry fee to cover our costs so that the GPT Camp can become a yearly pilgrimage and a sustainable thing for us to put on every year.

Rest assured that the entry cost is being distributed to the awesome businesses that support the camp and our GPT100 event.

2025 is a particularly special year for the camp as we want to get as many people along and into the local town to spread some economic stimulus and love to the communities that were hit hard by the fires of 2024/25 summer.

  • No. We need to keep this camp contained to those who need the time on course and training for the GPT100 in November. The Camp is a tool for runners in the GPT100 to learn more about the course and kickstart their journey to success in November.

  • No. We are taking responsibility of the participant. Such a group is subject to formal event permits with Parks Victoria and we need to be accountable and informed of everyone that is participating and all emergency contact detail in the unlikely event of an emergency. So if you would like to join, join properly is what we ask.

Mandatory gear

We will not be checking your gear, but please make sure you have everything and anything else you need to stay safe in these remote mountains! Don’t worry about bringing all the gear on Thursday arvo run to Chautauqua Peak, but do be aware that it gets cold up there and dark. So bring a headtorch and something warm.

  • Waterproof Jacket with hood and sealed seams

  • Thermal top with long sleeves (polypropylene or wool textile only)

  • Warm headwear (buff, beanie or balaclava)
